No Data Left Behind

CareEvolution follows a “No Data Left Behind” model. As such, the recommendations in this document should be considered the minimum. Additional data that is available should be included in the transactions. HL7 segments in the following sections are strongly recommended to ensure the data received can drive and anchor operational and clinical use cases.

The minimum segments that must be sent on all messages are:

• MSH
• PID

If the message pertains to an encounter, the following segment is also required:

• PV1

All supported merge messages require the following segment:

• MRG

All other segments are required when necessary to convey the information carried by those segments.
